Yang, our regular customer who’s trucks and heavy-duty machines are all tuning by us, mentioned that after buying this new TOYOTA HILUX 2.8 pickup, he often encountered the problem of carbon emission frequently which troubled him and made he feel quite impractical.


On the road test, we capture the vehicle condition and observe whether the values of various aspects were within the normal range. Before tuning, we found that the output at low-speed response quite dumb, the torque performance not like a diesel engine should have. The connection of the gearbox was also quite unsmooth which results in the power unable to connect immediately after shifting.


Stock P-BOX record:
0-100km/h acceleration time is 15.3 seconds.



For TOYOTA HILUX 2.8 pickup, we have developed a special DPF exhaust pipe. The development mold is the same specification as the stock which can go straight up without modifying anything at all. The special pipeline design can suppress the resonance problem, and it is more in line with the exhaust flow rate after ECU tuning, which greatly improves the performance.

After MYS ECU tuning,
Power: 177→222ps (+45ps)
Torque: 45.9→56.2kgm (+10.3kgm)
The maximum torque output has been advanced by 150rpm.

0-100km/h acceleration time is 12.5 seconds.


Driver's feedback:

The difference between before and after is quite obvious.
Before tuning, the acceleration from 120 km/h to 160 km/h was slowly; after that, the acceleration from 0 to 160 km/h is fantastic. Easier overtaking on the highway by fuller torque at low and medium speeds.
