LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT 2.2D HSE
Our MYS team went to Tainan Yanshuei to service our truck tuning regular customer Mr. Chen. This time Mr. Chen requested us to tuning his own commuter car, Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.2D HSE. He wanted his car could be more powerful. The stock performance is 190hp, 42.8kgm. The original power setting is quite conservative.
The Discovery Sport is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is a few 9-speed models currently available in Taiwan.
Our engineer went to road test and he said the overall acceleration performance only could be described as gentle and smooth which made him doubt about driving in the mountain after the full loaded the power would be enough or not.
Is there enough power to get out of when Discovery Sport trapped in the muddy and riverbed without the transfer case? The re-acceleration performance at 2000~3500prm seems to be like the general 2.0 NA cars.
P-BOX record:
0-60km/h acceleration time is 5 seconds.
0-100km/h acceleration time is 10.5 seconds.
This result is not unexpected because of the 9-speed automatic transmission. From 0 to 100km, at least a few gears have to be changed.
After MYS ECU Tuning, P-BOX record:
0-60km/h acceleration time is 4 seconds.
0-100km/h acceleration time is 9.3 seconds.
Power performance upgraded to 228hp and 48.9kgm(+38hp、6.1kgm).
Mr. Chen simply carried out the road test. He said that it's clearly felt different about his Discovery Sport power performance. Now the Discovery Sport is much more powerful. He finally can enjoy the driving.
